Essaouira is Marrakech’s calm coastal counterpart — a UNESCO-listed port town where artists, surfers and fishermen share a medina of whitewashed walls and blue shutters.
On the way you stop at a women’s argan oil cooperative and may spot the famous goats climbing argan trees. In Essaouira you are free to explore the ramparts, the fishing harbor and the galleries, or simply enjoy fresh grilled fish by the sea.

Pickup from your accommodation around 8:00. We drive west across the Haouz plains into argan country, stopping at a cooperative where local women demonstrate how argan oil is produced by hand.

Free time in Essaouira
Essaouira medina and harbor
Arrive in Essaouira late morning. Walk the Skala ramparts, watch the fishermen bring in their catch and explore the art galleries and craft shops of the medina. Lunch at the fish stalls by the port is highly recommended.
A local guide can be added on request for a deeper introduction to the town’s Jewish and Portuguese history.
